Lobbying & Public Policy practice , is seeking an experienced

Senior Policy Advisor

to join its

Washington, D.C.

office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, policy, and national security, advising clients on legislative and regulatory issues that directly impact defense and security priorities. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record required JD from a top-tier law school or Master’s degree strongly preferred Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia (if JD holder) or relevant policy credentials. 10+ years of substantive experience in national security and/or defense policy Extensive experience with policy issues and legislation related to national security and defense Experience working on Capitol Hill, ideally with congressional committees of jurisdiction for national security and defense policy; experience in relevant executive branch agencies may substitute for Hill experience In-depth understanding of defense budgeting, appropriations, and authorization processes Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior government officials and craft persuasive advocacy materials Strong network and credibility within the national security and defense policy community Ability to manage complex, high-stakes policy initiatives in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities Advise clients on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting national security and defense. Develop and execute strategic advocacy initiatives before Congress, executive agencies, and other government stakeholders. Monitor and analyze federal policy trends, budget cycles, and legislative priorities impacting defense and supply chain domestication. Brief senior policymakers and government officials on client interests and priorities. Collaborate with attorneys and policy professionals across the firm to provide integrated legal and policy solutions. Assist clients in navigating national security regulatory regimes and obtaining necessary authorizations to conduct business globally. Why Join Us? This is a
