As a Sr. Java Full Stack Software Developer, you will serve as the technical anchor for the Enterprise Testing group's strategic initiative to build a Unified Observability Testing platform from the ground up in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading the platform's technical vision, architecture, and implementation. Design and construct a scalable, resilient, and secure solution that will be foundational to our future testing and quality engineering capabilities. Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of a new, cloud-native Observability platform on GCP. Author comprehensive architecture and technical design documents and lead their implementation from scratch. Develop robust and scalable microservices using JAVA (Spring Boot) and build event-driven architectures leveraging GCP services like Pub/Sub, DataFlow, FireStore, BigQuery. Engineer both backend systems (APIs, event handlers) and frontend interfaces (e.g., using React) to create a seamless user experience for the platform. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable environments. Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and performance across the platform. Serve as the technical lead, mentoring other engineers, performing code reviews, and guiding the team to successful delivery. Collaborate closely with Enterprise Testing leaders, Observability engineers, SDETs, and other stakeholders to define platform requirements and deliverables.

Experience Required
A minimum of 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building backend and full-stack systems. Full Stack Engineer: Demonstrable experience building and maintaining both frontend (e.g., React) and backend (e.g., Spring Boot) components that integrate with Pub/Sub, APIs, or other services. Java Expert: Deep, hands-on expertise in modern JAVA and the Spring Boot framework for building enterprise-grade microservices. GCP: Proficient in core GCP services (e.g., FireStore, DataFlow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) and understanding of how to architect and build solutions on the platform. Architecture Acumen: Proven ability to write formal architecture documents and lead the technical implementation of those designs from concept to production. Technical Leadership: Previous experience in a tech lead capacity, with a history of creating API and event-driven architecture from scratch. Experience with containerization (Docker). Experience in using build tools like Gradle or Maven. Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development. Deep understanding of data security principles and secure coding practices. Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization for high-throughput applications.
Experience Preferred
Knowledge of GraphQL API design and implementation. Experience with performance analysis and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, OTEL, Grafana). Knowledge of current market trends in FinTech and cloud-native development. Exposure to Unix and Linux environments for application management and troubleshooting. Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management (e.g., Cloud Build) to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Experience in the financial services or FinTech industry. Exposure to AI/ML tools and their potential application in software development and observability.
Education Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field. Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market. Also, some positions may include bonuses or other incentives***
