As a Process and Metrology Engineer, you will play a critical role in the smooth operation of our demo lab, where we work with customers to demonstrate Multibeam’s lithography capabilities and enable new applications for our next- electron beam writing system. As a member of the Patterning Group, you will work closely with the rest of the company to execute critical process experiments and wafer measurements. You will work with vendors and customers as needed for demonstrations of system capabilities. The ideal candidate is independent, flexible, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and creative technical environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate semiconductor lithography and metrology equipment in a cleanroom environment Perform microscope inspection of patterned wafers, coordinate metrology with partner labs Analyze data and generate reports and presentations to communicate results Plan and execute lab experiments and oversee stock of process materials Wafer processing, including resist coat and develop Develop and maintain technical documentation, recommend changes in procedures Support calibration and testing of critical subsystems and installation of new lab equipment Travel to customer and partner sites as needed to support process qualification & development QUALIFICATIONS Hands-on experience operating semiconductor process equipment, especially lithography tools Hands-on experience using optical and/or electron microscopes (SEM, TEM, FIB, ...) Comfortable with optimizing wafer fabrication processes, and statistical methods (DOE, SPC, …) Experience working in a cleanroom environment, with wet chemicals, and handling wafers Experience maintaining and troubleshooting lab hardware, or installing new equipment Comfortable working on new equipment without well-established procedures Possess excellent attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Graduate degree in semiconductor-related field or Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of experience Company DescriptionMultibeam is re-innovating e-beam lithography to enable cost-effective production of leading-edge semiconductors for advanced packaging, photonics, rapid prototyping, and other special applications.
