Product Development Manager Location:
Annapolis, MD (onsite) Position Overview We’re seeking a highly skilled
Product Development Manager
to lead cross-functional initiatives that bring innovative, high-quality fashion accessories to market on time, on budget, and on brand. This role combines creative problem-solving with operational excellence, overseeing the full product lifecycle from concept to production handoff. Coordinate closely with design, merchandising, production, and suppliers to ensure alignment on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and brand direction. Source innovative materials and techniques that meet trend, quality, cost, and compliance requirements while maintaining supplier diversity and capacity. Negotiate terms and costs with suppliers to meet margin targets and resolve any production or design discrepancies quickly. Track and review prototypes, market samples, and final products to ensure accuracy, durability, and adherence to all color, quality, and restricted substance standards. Create and manage seasonal calendars and milestone reviews to meet all development, sampling, and production deadlines. Evaluate seasonal supplier and factory performance, recommending improvements as needed. Travel to factories, suppliers, and tanneries as required and manage special projects, promotional initiatives, and inventory liabilities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years’ experience in fashion accessories product development, sourcing, or production Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in managing multiple priorities across channels Ability to travel internationally Seniority level
