General Manager for Luxury Residential Building

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team. The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our luxury, mixed-income rental property, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction for our residents while maintaining the highest standards of property management. The 32-story building comprises a collection of 800 rental apartments. Amenities include a gym, pool, sauna, showers, locker rooms, game room/arcade, golf simulator, kids’ playroom, maker space, nail/spa services, and pet care facilities along with a sun terrace and lounge area. Key Responsibilities: ·Oversee and manage daily operations of the property, including all residential units, amenities, and common areas, ensuring adherence to GFP standards and best practices. ·Supervise all staff on-site, including oversight of paid time off, overtime, training, performance reviews, and compliance with EEO and company policies. ·Recommend and execute hiring, promotions, discipline, and terminations as needed. ·Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities, including vendor onboarding, contract management, and ongoing vendor relationships. ·Conduct regular inspections and promptly resolve any maintenance or safety issues. ·Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; oversee emergency preparedness and participate in safety drills. ·Lead resident relations initiatives, supporting programs and events through the LIV platform. Serve as the primary liaison to residents, addressing concerns professionally and promptly. ·Establish and maintain clear, effective communication among residents, staff, and management. ·Support onboarding, training, and continued development of all team members, ensuring understanding of roles, tools, and expectations. ·Assist in preparation and management of property budgets, monitor expenses, and support financial reporting. ·Work closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure fiscal responsibility and cost control. ·Implement and enforce all property policies and procedures related to leasing, compliance, operations, and customer service. ·Support leasing efforts, including renewals, lease terminations, and negotiations, in collaboration with the leasing team. ·Lead all aspects of new property development, including project coordination, lease-up operations, stakeholder communication, vendor onboarding, and smooth transitions through each development phase. ·Collaborate with the Development Team and interface with legal counsel, ownership groups, and external partners on matters such as tenant arrears, insurance, and legal issues. ·Represent the GFP brand and always communicate with building residents in an ethical and professional manner while maintaining the highest level of customer service. ·Attend and successfully complete all required training classes. · Experience managing mixed-income buildings subject to rent regulations in New York City is strongly desired. · Paid time off Job Type
