Position Summary: As the Portfolio Deputy Director, Supply Chain at BlueForge Alliance (BFA), you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic direction and operational execution of the Supply Chain organization. Reporting directly to the Portfolio Director, Supply Chain, you will assist in overseeing operations within Supplier Development, contributing to the success and growth of BFA. Your role involves supporting cross-functional teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with BFA's overall objectives. Support the vision and mission of Supply Chain Resiliency to achieve long-term success. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of Supply Chain program initiatives, projects, and integration with customer requirements. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on performance metrics. Collaborate with the Portfolio Director to support strategy and roadmaps for supply chain resiliency and investments. Strategic Outsourcing: Identify opportunities for strategic outsourcing to enhance operational efficiency and expand productivity. Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to assess outsourcing needs and recommend appropriate suppliers. Shipyard Infrastructure Assessment: Work with partners, external stakeholders, and designated parties to support shipyard infrastructure projects. Assist in initiatives and coordination of subject matter experts. Team Building and Development: Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture within the team that reflects BFA’s mission, vision, and values. Support performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Operational Excellence: Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Support process optimization to enhance productivity and quality. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Act as a key liaison for program elements within the Supply Chain organization, representing the organization at a leadership level when required. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing between Supplier Development and other departments within BFA. Travel to suppliers, conferences, and stakeholders to develop effective relationships. Assist in developing and managing budgets to ensure financial sustainability and growth. Analyze project metrics and develop plans to ensure successful outcomes Customer Solutions Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions. Ensure the alignment of Supply Chain activities with customer needs and expectations. Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing the daily workflow of the department. Support task assignments, monitor projects, and report metrics to internal offices as required. Act in place of the portfolio director as required Required Skills/Abilities: ·Expertise in supply chain management principles, including supplier quality management, capacity planning, and performance metrics. ·Proven track record of leading supplier development initiatives, improving supplier performance, and managing supplier relationships. ·Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage supplier relationships. ·Experience conducting supplier audits and evaluations, with a focus on process improvement and compliance. ·Ability to identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions. ·Proficiency with supply chain management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. Education, Certifications, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a closely related field 8-12 years of relevant experience in business operations, project management, or closely related activities. 4+ years of manufacturing experience in defense and/or aerospace is preferred. Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Expected travel: up to 35%. Note: BlueForge Alliance provides equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants for employment.
