OMICRON, a leading manufacturer of primary and secondary test equipment for electric power systems, is seeking a Sales and Application Engineer responsible for developing territorial sales and providing technical support for OMICRON products and services in the Northeast Territory. The preferred location for this role is within the Northeast Territories, including Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Rhode Island, and New Jersey. Key Responsibilities
Become proficient in OMICRON products and solutions Develop and maintain customer relationships within assigned accounts Coordinate customer visits, deliver presentations, demonstrate products, and provide post-sale support Participate in market evaluation, business development, and sales forecasting Perform on-site demonstrations and customer training Maintain records of customer interactions and opportunities using the CRM system Communicate regularly with sales management and stakeholders Coordinate promotional activities and participate in conferences and events Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills
Technical knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems Experience with testing methodologies and maintenance practices for power systems; testing background preferred Ability to present technical information effectively to various audiences Ability to perform on-site product demonstrations Strong business ethics and personal character Goal-oriented and team player Knowledge of the North American power industry and MS Office suite Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Willingness to travel domestically (up to 50%) and internationally if required Work Experience
At least 2 years of experience in power systems, especially protection or high voltage apparatus; NETA Level IV a plus Minimum 1 year of sales experience in testing equipment or related products Experience participating in industry conferences and seminars Working Conditions
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and operating office equipment Work environment varies from office settings to client sites, including electrical substations with associated hazards Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical education or military experience Additional Information
