Maintain existing tax programs and related products, ensuring compliance with taxing agencies' regulations within deadlines. Research, analyze, and interpret federal and state tax legislation, codes, regulations, forms, and instructions. Apply standard practices to implement moderate tax product changes via code and internal software. Perform unit testing and quality assurance to prevent unintended changes during updates. Seek guidance from experienced team members to develop skills and knowledge. Work in a team environment using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Complete work within sprints and propose process improvements. REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field; MS or MBA preferred. Tax-related certification (Enrolled Agent, CPA) highly desirable. 2-5 years of income tax preparation or analysis experience. Strong understanding of federal and state taxation, including multiple categories. Experience with tax software is preferred. Problem-solving skills and understanding of software development practices. Ability to learn tax content development tools and testing processes. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Good cultural and organizational fit, with professional maturity and motivation. The pay range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, and other factors.
