Senior EDI Translator (Boomi)
Location: Hybrid Kansas City
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EDI Translator with extensive experience in Boomi to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EDI translation, API integration, and a proven track record of successfully implementing EDI solutions in complex environments. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data exchange processes and ensuring seamless communication between business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement EDI solutions using Boomi, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT). Manage EDI translations and mappings for various document types, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather requirements and define EDI specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate data exchange. Develop and maintain API integrations to support EDI and other data exchange initiatives. Optimize existing EDI processes for performance and reliability. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to EDI and API integration. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience with EDI translation using Boomi. Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and experience with related tools. Proven experience in API integration and web services (REST/SOAP). Familiarity with XML, JSON, and other data interchange formats. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud integration platforms and tools beyond Boomi. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements. Boomi Certification is a plus.
