Senior Director, Audit

to join our Business Development Organization. Responsibilities:

Develop relationships with C-level executives, board members, and alumni within KPMG's Private Practice clients. Target whitespace growth at existing accounts and greenfield accounts. Meet specific business relationship goals for the assigned market and report progress against quarterly goals with national and industry leadership. Maintain a deep understanding of the assigned market by monitoring recent and anticipated funding activities, key role changes, competitive intelligence, emerging segments, and co-sponsorship opportunities. Facilitate direct referrals or endorsements from priority Venture Capital Firms by leveraging relationships with Limited Partners (LP), General Partners (GP), and Heads of Platform. Enhance market intelligence on Venture Capital-backed companies through relationship building at both the company and board levels; generate referrals from ecosystem service providers like venture bankers, lawyers, audit firms, and CFO firms. Coordinate relationship-building activities with partners, engagement managers, subject-matter professionals, and other KPMG personnel to ensure they are well advised; participate in proposal development focusing on KPMG's value proposition, differentiators, and win themes. Qualifications:

Minimum of fifteen years of recent experience in the emerging company ecosystem selling financial services products, managing corporate accounts. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution. Extensive network within the local and national private company ecosystem, including relationships with venture capital LP/GP, CEOs, founders, and finance professionals. Experience engaging with heads of platforms, outsourced accounting, CFO firms, PEOs, second-tier audit firms, and ecosystem stakeholders. Ability to relate industry issues, client needs, and KPMG services effectively. Knowledge of fundraising activities, capital structures, and standard term sheets. Proven success in building and nurturing relationships with C-level executives and developing new business opportunities; willingness to travel. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; no visa sponsorship available.
