The successful candidate will be a key leader in the Chief Accounting Officer organization, overseeing the controllership group and ensuring that all operational accounting processes, monthly and quarterly close coordination, and internal control activities are in line with company policies, US GAAP, and SOX controls. This role requires a trusted business partner who can provide guidance on reporting and controls, as well as assist in the formulation of financial and operational policies. The Vice President will also be responsible for managing both external and internal audits, maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls, and supporting SOX compliance. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' of relevant accounting / controller senior management experience, a CPA, and a strong background in US GAAP and SOX. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to lead change, mentor staff, and collaborate with both the controllership team and IT on reporting system enhancements. While not mandatory, experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, SAP, and the media or cable industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of building consensus and driving results through collaboration, and will have a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in a complex, large-scale accounting and finance environment.
