EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants The Director of Analytics is responsible and accountable for the organization, structure, systems, operations, and work product of the Private Equity Employee Benefits Analytics Department. The scope of the Analytics Department includes the delivery of all analytics needs related to both fully insured and self-funded insurance arrangements for all employee benefits lines of coverage. Responsibilities include managing the Analytics Team and their roles, ensuring accuracy of work product, analyzing cost impact and projections, managing benchmarking data, supervising rate setting, budgeting/forecasting, claims reserves, developing financial/analytical exhibits, analyzing rates and claims performance, healthcare costs and utilization trends, overseeing compliance deliverables, participating as an actuarial consultant in client interactions, coaching and mentoring colleagues, and overseeing work product template development. Skills required include data gathering and analysis, flexibility, multitasking, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance, or related field, at least 5 years of experience in Employee Health Benefits Analytics, understanding of underwriting and actuarial principles, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with data warehouse platforms such as Artemis, Cotiviti, Innovu, or Springbuk.
