Senior Business Analyst - Hybrid

Our team is seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale data migration effort, working in the Washington, DC location. Responsibilities include supporting a large federal data migration effort, assisting in the transition from a legacy system to a modernized enterprise application; collaborating with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate data migration requirements ensuring alignment with business goals and federal compliance standards; assessing gaps between legacy and target systems; developing and maintaining business process documentation, data mapping specifications, and migration rules; coordinating with technical teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout ETL processes; acting as a liaison between business users, legacy system owners, and modernization teams; participating in planning and execution of data validation and reconciliation activities; analyzing current data workflows and recommending improvements; supporting product and business management in developing data dashboards, reports, and performance indicators; contributing to risk assessments and documentation of migration strategies; authoring and reviewing business and technical documentation; supporting Independent Validation and Verification testing and User Acceptance Testing of migrated data; and providing ongoing insights to improve the migration approach. Requirements include U.S. Citizenship for DHS Suitability clearance, experience supporting federal IT modernization and large-scale data migration projects, excellent communication skills, capability to understand legacy systems and data transformation, experience with data analysis and quality assurance in regulated environments, ability to work in Agile environments, familiarity with federal data governance and compliance, and a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
