Position: DSS Systems Administrator This role involves providing Desktop Support Services to our Government client. Responsibilities include managing Service Now tickets related to ClassNet and OpenNet workstations & laptops, operating system support, applications, peripherals, and network devices. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform systems administrative, troubleshooting, and operational duties on computer systems based on user tickets and outages. Support and maintain COTS and custom applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Analyze, evaluate, and test hardware and software issues reported by users. Support the planning, installation, security, and decommissioning of facilities. Identify and mitigate security issues. Research, troubleshoot, document tickets, and escalate issues when necessary. Prepare activity and progress reports. Coordinate activities across support agencies and manage escalations to ensure timely resolution. Identify improvements in hardware, software, or infrastructure support. Work to meet SLA targets for issue resolution. Provide training on applications and devices to users and visitors. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including servers and peripherals. Required Experience: Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially listening and understanding. Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system. Experience providing Tier 1 and 2 support for hardware and software. Attention to detail and knowledge of computer terms. At least 5 years of related experience. Education and Clearance: Associate's degree or equivalent experience. US Citizen, eligible for clearance; Secret clearance preferred. Industry certifications such as A+, Security+, Network+ are a plus.
