District Tech Support Specialist II Job Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain district-wide networks (WAN, LAN, WLAN, intranet, Internet circuits), including design, implementation, security, troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation. Configure and maintain VoIP and IP-based Informa Cast systems across sites. Perform system maintenance and upgrades during off-peak hours. Manage backups, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS). Implement disaster recovery plans and system upgrades. Write scripts and code to automate processes. Manage user databases and develop enterprise databases and websites. Configure and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, and security settings. Maintain network hardware and perform server and database management tasks. Administer email and calendaring systems, monitor network performance, and repair hardware. Configure onsite network systems for efficiency. Develop network documentation, research upgrades, and recommend technical solutions. Work cooperatively with stakeholders and handle multiple tasks under pressure. Qualifications
2-4 years experience with network maintenance, troubleshooting, and systems administration. Proficient with Cisco network hardware and appliances. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; associate's degree with Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) also acceptable. Experience managing complex systems, servers, networks, websites, or databases. Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, crawl, reach, lift hardware, work at heights, and in confined spaces. Manual dexterity for hardware configuration and repair. Color vision for reading schematics and wiring. Equal Opportunity
