Our Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) seeks an Associate Mission Operations Development Engineer to support high-tempo on-orbit spacecraft activities, including launch, early orbit operations, testing, and long-term sustainment. Responsibilities
Support satellite mission operations and system development activities. Develop command procedures, telemetry pages, and operational documentation. Conduct testing with simulators and resolve discrepancies. Support mission readiness, launch activities, and monitor spacecraft health. Perform telemetry trending, configuration tracking, and anomaly resolution. Update procedures based on lessons learned and support internal/external meetings. May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications
Basic for Associate Engineer:
Completing or completed a Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM field. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Basic for Engineer:
Completing or completed a Master's Degree in a related STEM field. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
GPA of 3.7 or higher. TS/SCI clearance. Experience with on-orbit operations, satellite subsystems, and spacecraft launch campaigns. Experience with technical documentation and working in government environments. Additional Information
Salary Range - Dulles, VA: $74,000 - $111,000; Gilbert, AZ: $63,900 - $95,900. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change. Northrop Grumman is an Equal Opportunity Employer. U.S. Citizenship required.
