At Kestra Financial, we don’t just support financial advisors—we help them thrive. Our service model is human-led, tech-enabled, and purpose-driven, empowering advisors to deliver exceptional outcomes for their clients. If you’re a leader who shows up to serve, inspires high performance, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-first environment, we want to meet you.
We’re hiring a Director of Real Estate and Facilities Management to lead the strategy and execution of our office environments across all business units. This role is ideal for a leader who can balance vision with precision—managing real estate transactions, leading construction projects, optimizing workplace design, and ensuring smooth day-to-day facilities operations. From lease negotiations to space planning, this role is at the center of creating environments that support productivity, reflect our values, and scale with our growth.
What You’ll Do
The Director of Real Estate and Facilities Management is responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy and execution of all real estate and facilities functions across the organization. This includes overseeing real estate transactions, managing construction projects, ensuring efficient facilities operations, and driving workplace strategies that support business growth and employee experience. This role serves as a key strategic partner, aligning physical workspace needs with the company's business objectives.
Real Estate Portfolio Management
Lead all aspects of the company’s real estate portfolio including acquisitions, lease negotiations, renewals, dispositions, and landlord relationships. Manage the external real estate broker(s) responsible for market sourcing, lease negotiations, and contracting. Align portfolio strategy with business goals, workforce trends, and long-term financial objectives.
Workplace Strategy & Facilities Management
Develop and implement workplace strategies that support employee productivity, collaboration, and engagement. Oversee day-to-day facilities operations including maintenance, repairs, service vendors, and sustainability initiatives. Track and analyze space usage across the portfolio to drive efficiency and support workforce planning. Recommend adjustments to optimize space and support future growth or consolidation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, lease terms, and legal requirements.
Construction & Buildout Management
Lead construction and renovation projects including budget development, vendor management, timelines, and quality assurance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, oversee design, and ensure alignment with brand and operational standards. Coordinate cross-functional support (e.g., IT, Finance, HR) for office openings and relocations. Partner with IT to implement infrastructure standards across offices, including AV, security systems, and connectivity.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets related to real estate, construction, and facilities. Monitor spend, forecast costs, and report on KPIs to support executive decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Alignment
Serve as a primary liaison to business leaders and department heads to understand needs and provide space planning solutions. Effectively communicate updates, plans, and project timelines to executive stakeholders.
What You Bring
8+ years of progressive experience in real estate, facilities management, or workplace operations. Proven success managing office buildouts, lease negotiations, and vendor relationships. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives. Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in a multi-site or geographically distributed environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related field; MBA or industry certifications (e.g., PMP, FMP, CFM) a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel—including advanced functions such as lookups (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)—and PowerPoint.
