Role Summary
The EV OEM Associate Quality Engineer reports to Sr. Director Quality Engineering and is responsible for supporting the EV Quality Lead as directed. Work duties include supporting the investigation and trend analysis of vehicle performance issues and charging error analysis utilizing both in-house and off the shelf analytic tools (training to be provided).Detailed analysis will be review with EV quality lead and updated into reports and/or presentations for external sharing with automotive partners.Individual will work with lab team members as required to investigate key technical findings.Training will be provided on EV charging protocols, standards, and analysis tools.
The candidate will work cross functional with various teams in Electrify America to address concerns and issues found that are related to the EVSE to resolve create Jira tickets that can be tracked by the supplier as well as investigate and update tickets submitted by our OEM partners.
Years Of Relevant Experience
0 to 5+ years of post-undergrad experience including professional focus on data analysis.
Education (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Specialized Skills (Required)
Strong technical capabilities analyzing complex issues involving hardware, software, and communication. Experience in electric vehicle validation, vehicle measurement, CAN and vehicle communication Experience using Jira, Salesforce, confluence and other collaboration tools. Ability to interface with lab personnel on technical topics related to vehicle interoperability Electric Vehicle charging experience Ability to perform data analysis using advanced analytical tools
Specialized Skills (Desired)
PLC communication experience OCPP, Ethernet communication experience, JSON and SOAP Knowledge of EV charging standards such as ISO 15118 or DIN 70121 Experience with Alteryx and or Python is a plus
Work Flexibility
Local hybrid role Reston office, and Ashburn lab. Travel 10%
