$71,830.00/yr - $104,170.00/yr What This Job Involves:
JLL is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA for 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 06:00 to 14:30. This position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all Mechanical Systems. A high percentage of "wrench time" is expected. The individual must demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting, be available for call-in work, and perform other duties as required. Some overtime is expected. Daily Responsibilities:
Maintaining and repairing air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other mechanical equipment Troubleshooting customer service calls for temperature control inside buildings Ensuring all R&M data (material costs, contract labor costs, JLL effort) is captured on work orders Reviewing system data and developing recommendations with the Reliability or Operations Manager for maintenance, upgrades, or replacements Cross training and backup as appropriate Maintaining up-to-date system documentation Monitoring and adjusting refrigeration, HVAC, hot water systems, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters to ensure proper operation Analyzing system operations, diagnosing problems, and recommending corrective actions Performing preventive maintenance on HVAC and building systems Cleaning work areas, returning tools, and managing supplies Reporting equipment issues and shortages Maintaining tools and ordering supplies as needed Complying with safety policies for hazardous materials Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent EPA certification Strong communication skills in oral and written forms Familiarity with computer equipment and software Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficiency with electric hand tools and operation of required equipment Ability to work in confined spaces, on roofs, and overhead while on ladders Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of related trade schooling or experience Boiler License (a plus)
