The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Kodiak is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Administrator to manage and administer the Company’s equity programs. This role requires high accuracy, confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of equity compensation plans. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR, Payroll, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution of equity transactions and compliance with relevant regulations.
In This Role, You Will
Administer and manage Kodiak’s equity current and future programs, including stock options, RSUs, and ESPP. Lead the implementation and maintenance of equity administration systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Maintain accurate records of equity transactions, including grants, exercises, cancellations, and releases. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to equity compensation. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliance with securities laws and tax regulations. Prepare and file required documentation with regulatory bodies, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely. Generate reports and analyses on equity compensation, including dilution, expense forecasting, and financial statement disclosures. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Develop and deliver training sessions and educational materials to help employees understand their equity compensation. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve equity administration processes.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in stock administration or equity compensation. Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation preferred. Proficiency in both public company and private company equity administration software (e.g., Carta, eTrade, Fidelty, etc.). Familiarity with ASC 718 and experience in preparing related financial disclosures. Strong understanding of equity compensation plans and related tax and legal implications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience in a high-growth, technology-driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

California Pay Range
$165,000 - $200,000 USD
