The Tax Senior Manager (Private Client Group) will provide leadership and be responsible for the quality delivery of services to exceed the expectations of our clients. The individual will also be responsible for the development and motivation of the engagement team and provide the Staff/Seniors with leadership, counseling, and career guidance. Responsibilities: Review individual, fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns and related income tax workpapers. Oversee and manage the tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues Provide our HNW client base with an exceptional service experience. Review and analyze estate planning related legal documents. Internal and external consulting and support for fiduciary, income, gift, and estate tax matters Mentor, train, and manage staff accountants to meet deadline and prioritize workload Effectively manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment and also work independently. Handle federal and state tax notices and audits. Research federal, state, and international tax laws, prepare tax memorandums on technical topics and develop tax savings strategies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a CPA is required. 10+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on HNW, trust, partnership, estates, and gift matters. Experience with corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts Extensive experience in Tax Advisory and Estate/Trust planning and compliance. Exceptional communication skills. Both oral and written. Previous experience with reviewing fiduciary, partnership, gift, and estate tax returns. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent analytical skills and judgment.
