- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform setups on CNC machines, including lathes, horizontal mills, vertical mills, and 5-axis mills, efficiently and safely
- Layout components to verify stock and ensure machinability
- Operate CNC machine tools, such as vertical turning mills and horizontal boring mills, to machine parts to exact specifications
- Edit CNC programs as needed to ensure accuracy and optimize productivity
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong mathematical skills
- Verify component quality using precision inspection tools, including micrometers and Vernier calipers
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- PA State Approved Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification
- Ability to pass a physical examination
- Knowledge of G and M codes is a plus
- Strong ability to interpret and work from blueprints
