CNC Machinist - Precision, Innovation, Excellence
A leading manufacturing organization is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join its dynamic machining team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced CNC machines, including lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, and 5-axis mills, to produce high-quality components. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of machining principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and precision.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform setups on CNC machines, including lathes, horizontal mills, vertical mills, and 5-axis mills, efficiently and safely
  • Layout components to verify stock and ensure machinability
  • Operate CNC machine tools, such as vertical turning mills and horizontal boring mills, to machine parts to exact specifications
  • Edit CNC programs as needed to ensure accuracy and optimize productivity
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong mathematical skills
  • Verify component quality using precision inspection tools, including micrometers and Vernier calipers
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • PA State Approved Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification
  • Ability to pass a physical examination
  • Knowledge of G and M codes is a plus
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from blueprints
Physical Demands
This role requires physical activity typical of a machining environment, including:
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
  • Lifting and handling materials or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Fine motor skills and visual acuity for precision machining and inspection
