CDL Short Haul Driver
The work of a CDL Short Haul Driver for Postal Operations includes driving company trucks in short-haul routes between in-state company warehouses. The work of an Airport Transfer Truck Driver includes currently holding a CDL-Class A with hazmat endorsements. Ability to drive a tractor trailer daily to accommodate busy workload at airport. Essential duties and responsibilities of an Airport Transfer Truck Driver include transporting cargo via 53' trailer from various types of aircraft to warehouse or warehouse to aircraft while adhering to strict safety regulations. Customer service oriented as you will be interacting with airline representatives and staff. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum requirements for an Airport Transfer Truck Driver include being at least 18 years of age, having minimum 1-2 years trucking experience with manual transmission, excellent verbal and written communication skills, valid Class A CDL driver's license, successful completion of the required airport badging process, USPS background check, pre-employment drug screen, and a physical driving record. Excellent knowledge of Ramp Operations, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, leadership ability, customer focus and quality awareness. Perform and document truck pre-operation inspections. Visual inspection/fuel/tires/mirrors/lights/windshield cracks/brake checks/fluid leaks/fire extinguisher/3 safety triangle. Physical requirements for an Airport Transfer Truck Driver include being able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces, stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time, and be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment. Schedule of hours Alliance Ground International operates twenty-four hours a day seven days a week in three operational shifts, AGI requires its employees to be able to work flexible schedules which may be adjusted to meet operational demands such as flight delays, cancellations, adhocs, etc. Applicants must be able to work on weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and holidays.
