Substitute Bus/Van Monitor

Summary:
The Substitute Bus/Van Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students on school buses or vans. This is a substitute position, located in the Transportation department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the bus/van driver in maintaining a safe and orderly environment for students during transportation.
- Ensure that students are following safety rules and regulations while on the bus/van.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus/van.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with students, parents, and staff.
- Follow all district policies and procedures regarding transportation.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
