Now Hiring: CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift (Ogden, UT) Location: Ogden, UT Job Type: Direct Hire with Client Pay Range: $20-$40/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AMAre you an experienced machinist ready for a long-term opportunity with a stable company? We are currently hiring a CNC Machinist for a direct hire position with our client in Ogden, Utah. This is a 2nd shift role focused on high-precision work using advanced machining centers. If you're detail-oriented, self-driven, and passionate about manufacturing, we want to hear from you!Position SummaryIn this role, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC and conventional machines to produce complex, high-tolerance parts. You'll interpret blueprints and engineering data, contribute to lean initiatives, and work independently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.Key Responsibilities Operate and manage multiple machines efficiently, performing complex machining tasks. Set up, adjust, and run equipment to achieve precise tolerances and finishes. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering to resolve technical challenges. Contribute to process improvements and suggest tooling modifications. Perform accurate inspections using tools like micrometers, calipers, comparators, and CMMs. Maintain clean and calibrated equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability. Use statistical process control (SPC) to monitor quality and performance. Mentor less experienced team members and support training initiatives. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.Qualifications 5+ years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in reading complex blueprints and using advanced measuring tools. Strong understanding of CNC setups, machining processes, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement. Advanced shop math skills, including trigonometry. Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Experience with digital systems and job-specific software applications.Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision work. Regular attendance and professional conduct required. Why Apply?
