Pittsburg State University invites applications for the position of Administrative Associate and Partner Developement in the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing. The primary purpose of the Administrative Associate is to perform administrative tasks to support the mission, strategic goals and objectives of the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing.
Duties and Responsibilities
30% Application Processing
  • Process applications for incoming Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing Students
  • Collect and verify the necessary documentation to be admitted to the program
  • Set up and maintain a database electronic filing system for nursing student information, records, correspondence, and other student material.
  • Maintain confidentiality when working with private information about students, faculty and staff.
30% Partner & Communication Development
  • Engage with area clinical agencies & clinical faculty for clinical placements by providing required documentation.
  • Facilitate agency recruitment events and lunches weekly.
25% Administrative Support to the School
  • Greet visitors when they come into the office and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate person according to their needs.
  • Answers inquiries and speaks to prospective inquiries about the different nursing programs we have to offer at Pittsburg State.
  • Take messages for faculty and staff and transfer calls to the appropriate individuals.
  • Respond to email inquiries, as needed.
  • Assist SON Director on special projects assignments varying times throughout the year - Assessment; Accreditation, Program Review, Employer and Alumni Survey.
10% Event Coordination
  • Plan and coordinate SON events (Pinning, White Coat Ceremony, Student Leaders Lunch, Pre-Requisite Faculty Breakfast, Advisory Board Meetings, etc) for the School of Nursing.
  • Coordinate events with community partners for tours and use of the Simulation Hospital.
  • Coordinate events with Alumni and Constituent Relations for tours and use of the Simulation Hospital.
  • Coordinate events with the campus community for tours and use of the Simulation Hospital.
5% Other duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience - Time of Hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in an office or administrative setting. Education may be substituted for experience as determined by the University.

Appointment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, occasional evenings and weekends.

The Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing has been educating today's nursing professionals for nearly 50 years. It is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
