Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Cloud DBA (Consultant)
to oversee the
monitoring, management, and optimization
of our cloud databases on
AWS . This role involves
performance tuning, cost analysis, data security, access administration, and backup & recovery
for both live production databases and development environments. You will collaborate with development teams to design
schema, access patterns, and database strategies
that support business needs.
Key Responsibilities: Database Administration & Performance Optimization Monitor, manage, and optimize AWS cloud databases ( PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB -Oracle a plus). Perform
database design, tuning, and architecture
for enterprise systems. Diagnose and resolve database-related issues to ensure minimal downtime. Perform
backup, recovery, and environment refresh
activities. Security, Cost Management & Compliance Implement and maintain
database security, auditing, and access controls . Proactively
analyze costs and optimize database performance
to maximize ROI. Monitor uptime and SLAs using
CloudWatch
and other AWS tools. Automation & Cloud Integration Manage AWS
Database Migration Service (DMS)
and data replication. Utilize
CloudFormation
and other automation tools for infrastructure management.
Qualifications & Experience: • 5+ years of DBA experience, with 5+ years on AWS •Expertise in
PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB
(Oracle is a plus) •Strong
SQL
skills with experience in
backup & recovery, performance tuning •Experience with
AWS DMS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and automation tools •Knowledge of
CI/CD, Cloud Security, DevOps best practices • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule
(onsite & remote from Nashville, TN) • Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
? Experience with
CRM/Finance/Accounting systems
? Knowledge of
ETL solutions
(Glue, Lambda) and
big data technologies
(Hive, Spark)
? Familiarity with
dashboard platforms
(AWS QuickSight, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
?
AWS Certification
is a plus
Work Schedule:

7.5-hour business workday
- may require extended hours for evening/late-night events
