ECS is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Project Manager to oversee and manage cybersecurity projects for a National Security client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity practices and project management methodologies, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver security projects on time, within budget, and in line with business objectives. As a Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating resources, tracking project progress, managing risks, and ensuring that cybersecurity solutions meet organizational needs and industry standards.
• Technical Background: Significant hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT, including familiarity with security protocols, risk assessment, and threat management. • Project Management: At least 8 years of experience managing IT or cybersecurity projects. This includes planning, execution, and closing projects. • Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and coordinating with various departments. • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle security incidents and vulnerabilities. • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cybersecurity; OR • Master's degree in a relevant field can be beneficial and may enhance your qualifications.
All the following certifications are desired but only one certification is required: • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP): Emphasizes technical and managerial knowledge and experience in designing, engineering, and managing an organization's overall security posture across a broad spectrum of cybersecurity domains. • Project Management Professional (PMP): Demonstrates your ability to lead and direct projects. • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM): Highlights your skills in managing and governing information security programs. • Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM): Focuses specifically on managing security projects.
