Seven Springs is a smaller scale private equity firm founded by Brandon Kuchta and RJ Price. We are offering an educational, hands-on internship for students interested in gaining experience in theworld of investment and entrepreneurship.
Brandon started his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, then worked in private equityat The Carlyle Group, and most recently after business school, acquired 2 companies with his brother in which he served as CEO, ultimately selling both in a successful transaction to another private equity firm in late 2021. Brandon has made numerous other small business investmentssince then, and he seeks to identify and acquire other small/mid-sized businesses throughout the entire continental United States.
Prior to Seven Springs, RJ led direct investments for the Allen & Company partnership across concentrated public equity investments and company-building private platforms. Before Allen, RJ was a Principal at Shumway Capital similarly straddling public equities, private buyouts, andcompany building. At Shumway, RJ helped build a microbiome therapeutics company that was the predecessor to Finch Therapeutics (OTC: FNCH). RJ started his career in private equity at TPG and investment banking at Greenhill before that.
Brandon and RJ both studied economics at Yale University and completed MBAs at Harvard Business School.
This internship is designed to provide a learning experience in a professional environmentand is intended for individuals seeking to develop general skills applicable across finance,investment, and business operations. Interns may be eligible to receive academic credit throughtheir college or university and are encouraged to check with their institution, if applicable.

Seven Springs is based in New York City and seeks a few highly motivated, *IN-PERSON* interns to assist primarily in the search execution portion of this process. *Daily responsibilities and learning opportunities include:*
1) This internship is IN-PERSON in New York City. Five days a week for 8 hours a day, witha minimum commitment period of 10 weeks. If you are unable to satisfy this, please do not apply.
2) Developing lists of potential business targets (along with various attributes of company andowner) in select industries of interest.
3) Evaluating company business models.
4) Researching targeted industries of interest.
5) Preparing due diligence questions and materials.
6) Basic financial spreading / analysis.
7) Contacting management teams of business targets.
8) Assisting in the entire sourcing and acquisition process.
Over time, it is expected that the intern will learn and gain valuable skills and fluency in all aspectsof sourcing and evaluating small business investment opportunities – from signing the initial non-disclosure agreement to conducting diligence and making purchase offers. As such, the ideal intern would:
1) Be articulate and fluent in English given the nature of the learning and information that youwill be working with daily
2) Have an interest in both investing and company operations
3) Have some baseline knowledge of how to read a financial statement (which we will alsohelp teach)
4) Be flexible, industrious, and bring a positive attitude to work every day
However, Brandon and RJ promise a fun working environment, the ability to take on increasinglevels of responsibility and learning, and firsthand exposure to young entrepreneurs with significant financial and management work experience. The internship will also expose interns toteaching of basic financial knowledge and management / operating theory. At the conclusion of the internship, we promise to help interns that have excelled in this educational opportunity to evaluatefuture opportunities in their interest areas, in the sole discretion of Seven Springs.
