Tooling Technician IV

Location : Peachtree City, GA

Hours : MON-FRI; 7 AM to 3 PM

Salary : $30-$38/hr (based on experience)

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Overview : As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing injection tooling. You'll play a crucial role in continuous improvement initiatives by developing and fabricating components to enhance safety, improve process reliability, or reduce scrap. The Process Engineer will cover your responsibilities during vacancies.

Key Responsibilities : Manage and execute mold PM schedules Audit and maintain spare parts inventory Order spare parts based on immediate and inventory needs Undertake short- and long-term projects assigned by management Disassemble and reassemble Hot Runner, valve gate, and mold systems Perform PM on Hot Runner systems and inspect for damage or malfunction Rebuild valve gate systems and diagnose heating issues on Hot Runner systems Interpret electrical diagrams for Hot Runner systems Diagnose and repair mold defects, and differentiate between mold and process-related part defects Create SOC's for tooling as necessary Apply advanced process troubleshooting to rectify part and quality defects Troubleshoot and repair issues with valve gate, hot runner, and hot runner controllers Conduct FAT at the toolmaker and collaborate with tooling vendors for refurbishments, upgrades, or repairs Determine process parameters for new or modified moulds Identify different parts and types of injection molding machines and their operations Understand injection mold parts and their functions Requirements :
