Location: Special Education Department Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of Medical Billing Procedures; specific work experience in the Medicaid program preferred Demonstrated knowledge of basic office procedures and computer operations Demonstrated knowledge of basic bookkeeping/accounting procedures Working knowledge of MS-Office 2007; emphasis on EXCEL Demonstrated effective and stable interpersonal relationship with the public and staff Working knowledge of financial and other data systems; specific work experience or ability to learn PAW Student System and Visions Financial System preferred Essential Job Functions:
Process Medicaid Direct Service billings using Payer Path Software and Medicaid Web Portal Manage the Administrative Claim process; maintain the Employee FileWriter; track and process Random Moment Samples Research, verify and re-submit disallowed Medicaid Direct Services claims Monitor payment status of all billed Medicaid services Maintain Medicaid student files as required using the Medicaid School-Based Service Quality Assurance Checklist Monitor receipt of student documentation including current IEP, Parent and Physician authorizations Prepare and submit required quarterly/annual Medicaid Reports to the appropriate over-site Agency Assist with the coordination of Medicaid Program Outreach Activities Process, order, purchase and account for the Medicaid Fund Budget Maintain licensure and time records for Medicaid billable personnel Maintain and submit Requests for Reimbursement and Budget Adjustment Requests as required under State Statute and regulation Balance and submit monthly reports as required under State Statue and regulation Other Duties:
Attend regional and state Medicaid training and Advisory Council meetings Maintain up-to-date and accurate billing and reporting record for the Medicaid Program Interpret and implement Medicaid Program regulations and guidelines
