Position Summary

$10,000 sign on bonus for new full-time Rad Techs! (prorated for part-time and per-diem). The Radiologic Technologist/Emergency Department/Laboratory Technologist is expected to produce high quality Radiographic images under the guidance of the Radiology Supervisor and BMC Radiologists. These images shall be produced in a manner consistent with safe technique as well as standard precautions. This is a per-diem position for coverage as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic examination following department protocol and utilizing technical factors to ensure the highest quality results. Head and neck studies, chest studies, spine and pelvis, upper extremity, lower extremity, abdomen, and pediatric studies. Produces copies of Radiographic images as needed. Follows Radiation safety procedures on all exams keeping them ALARA. Appropriately utilizes shields to reduce exposure to patients. Sets technical factors to reduce patient exposure and produce high-quality films. Uses sterile technique if required and follows standard precautions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate with all the age groups we serve. Prepares patients for the exam by explaining the exam procedure in a kind, respectful manner. An interpreter will be utilized as needed. Demonstrates the ability to recognize age-related pathology and physical presentation when performing exams and choosing technical factors. Education

Graduate of the AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Training Program. Associate's degree is strongly desired. Clinical hours sufficient to sit for the ARRT Examination. Licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Radiography. CPR certified and has the ability to maintain this on an annual basis. Experience

1 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment performing diagnostic radiographic examinations. Good working knowledge in the field of Radiology. Ability to assimilate changes in technical Radiographic settings. Skills/Abilities

Ability to prioritize assignments. Strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Team player. Flexible. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to make decisions in a high-volume environment. Starting at $50.00, and up to $65.00 based on experience. EEO & Accommodation Statement:
