Nurse Manager, Clinical

Reports To: Manager of Integrated Care

Location: Reed, Cathedral, and Caroline Clinics

Overview The Nurse Manager provides day-to-day clinical leadership and operational oversight across multiple clinic sites, supporting high-quality, efficient care delivery and a positive patient experience. This role works closely with clinical support staff and collaborates with the Manager of Integrated Care, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and clinic site leadership to ensure streamlined workflows, responsive staffing strategies, and effective cross-departmental communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Operations & Workflow Oversight

Coordinate clinic staffing and coverage needs across sites in partnership with site leads and clinical leadership. Align clinical support roles with provider schedules, patient volumes, and evolving care needs. Oversee inventory, supplies, and the appropriate use and maintenance of clinical equipment, including safe handling of biohazards and sharps. Provide operational support for lab functions and ensure clinical readiness. Assist in resolving complex patient situations and foster best practices for managing challenging clinical interactions. Team Supervision and Development

Foster a cohesive, team-oriented environment among clinical and administrative support staff. Support onboarding, training, and performance development efforts across the clinical support team. Contribute to staff engagement by promoting clear communication, facilitating team huddles, and offering coaching as needed. Coordinate with site leads and supervisors to ensure adequate coverage during staff absences or operational disruptions. Patient Access and Experience

Partner with front desk operations to ensure accurate registration, timely check-in, and strong customer service. Serve as a point of contact for resolving escalated patient concerns related to clinic operations and service delivery. Collaborate with staff to identify and implement improvements in patient access, experience, and satisfaction. Compliance and Quality

Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to protocols, policies, and regulatory standards. Monitor compliance with documentation, follow-up workflows, and performance metrics across clinics. Support HHH Mission

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field Current, unencumbered RN or LVN license in the state of Texas At least 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site clinical operations and staff scheduling Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (preferably EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field Prior experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or with underserved populations Familiarity with HRSA, UDS, FTCA, HIPAA compliance standards, and quality improvement frameworks Experience managing front desk and clinical support staff in a primary care or integrated care environment Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, population health data, and patient-centered workflows
