Electrical Estimator
*Job Summary*
Wallace Electric is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Electrical
Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and costs to
develop accurate estimates for electrical construction projects. This role requires a
detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of electrical systems, materials,
labor costs, and industry standards.
*Key Responsibilities*: * Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate cost estimates. * Identify labor, material, and time requirements for each project. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to determine project scope and requirements. * Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to clients. * Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure cost-effective purchasing. * Analyze subcontractor quotes and incorporate them into project estimates. * Adjust estimates as needed based on design changes, material fluctuations, and project timelines. * Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, industry trends, and pricing structures. * Assist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. * Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the bidding process.
*Qualifications* * 2 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes. * Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, or similar). * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. * Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
*Work Environment* * Office-based with frequent travel to job sites and client locations. * Hybrid role is negotiated after 6 months of employment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
