Our client is a leading E-Crime Intelligence company providing targeted and actionable intelligence to reduce fraud losses and cyber threats.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and highly analytical Dark Web Security Analyst to join our growing team in Hollywood, FL. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of illicit online marketplaces, underground forums, and encrypted communication channels, and will play a critical role in uncovering emerging threats, actors, and operations within the dark web ecosystem. This role is suited for individuals who are passionate about cybercrime investigation, covert intelligence gathering, and monitoring high-risk online environments, with a proven ability to transform raw data and insights from hidden dark web communities into actionable intelligence for external clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

Surveil illicit online ecosystems: Continuously monitor and analyze dark-web marketplaces, underground forums, encrypted communication platforms, and other hidden networks to identify emerging threats, illicit goods/services, and high-risk actors. Transform raw intelligence into actionable insights: Collect, validate, and synthesize intelligence on dark web activities, threat actor behaviors, and evolving criminal ecosystems, producing clear, concise reports and visual presentations from internal and external data sources. Track and profile threat actors: Document, assess, and maintain detailed profiles on individuals and groups operating in dark web environments, including their techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs). Conduct deep-dive analytics: Utilize proprietary intelligence tools and advanced analytical methods to uncover patterns, link disparate data points, and forecast emerging risks. Brief and advise clients: Engage with clients through regular briefings, delivering timely intelligence updates, risk assessments, and tailored recommendations to support proactive decision-making. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

Proficiency in Russian is required. Expert insight into dark web ecosystems: Clear understanding of how illicit marketplaces, underground forums, and encrypted communication channels are structured, accessed, and operated across multiple criminal verticals. Fluency in dark web terminology and culture: Comfortable navigating and interpreting slang, acronyms, and coded language used in underground communities. Collaborative yet self-directed: Works effectively with cross-functional teams while independently driving investigations and intelligence tasks with minimal oversight. Exceptional English communication: Delivers precise written intelligence reports and persuasive verbal briefings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven research & intelligence production: Track record of deep-dive investigations that convert fragmented data from hidden networks into high-impact, actionable intelligence. Resourceful investigative mindset: Naturally curious and persistent problem-solver who thrives on uncovering hidden links, patterns, and operational footprints in concealed environments. Commitment to fighting cybercrime: Genuine motivation to expose and disrupt illicit online activities, safeguarding organizations and potential victims. Multilingual advantage: Proficiency in Russian is required. Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin is highly valued for interacting with or analyzing foreign-language underground content. Scripting & automation expertise: Ability to leverage Python (or similar) to scrape, process, and analyze large data sets from both open-source and proprietary intelligence feeds is a plus. Visual link-analysis proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools such as Maltego, i2 Analyst's Notebook, or comparable platforms for mapping threat actor networks, transactions, and operational patterns is a plus. Education / Professional Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in cybercrime intelligence, dark web investigations, or related areas of threat intelligence and incident response. Proven track record of conducting covert investigations within illicit online ecosystems, including marketplaces, forums, and encrypted communication platforms. Background in cybersecurity, digital forensics, criminal intelligence, or a related discipline (Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered). Experience collaborating with law enforcement, financial institutions, or private-sector security teams in intelligence-sharing or joint investigations is highly valued. Licenses / Certifications

Industry certifications such as GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar credentials are a plus. Additional Information
