1st Shift Lead Maintenance Mechanic Needed in Allentown PA! PeopleShare is looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Allentown! If you love keeping machines running smoothly, enjoy solving problems, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the perfect fit. This is a full-time, first-shift role (6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, plus overtime and occasional Saturdays), where you’ll work on everything from hydraulic presses to conveyor systems. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Must be available for overtime and 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturdays as needed.
Pay Rate: $28.00-$35.00/hour Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Location: Allentown PA Lead Maintenance Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
Adjust, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, such as hydraulic presses, large band saws, motors, conveyor systems, and production equipment and machinery. Perform regular scheduled maintenance routines. Make adjustments to machinery. Regular cleaning, greasing, and inspecting machinery and components to prevent breakdowns. Must be able to use power tools. Have some welding experience, and forklift experience. Lead Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
Strong mechanical skills with experience in repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled machinery. Basic knowledge of circuit boards, wiring, and electronic components. Ability to perform preventive maintenance, keep repair records, and manage parts inventory. Skilled in using power tools, reading a tape measure (to 1/8"), and doing basic math, including fractions and decimals. Good spatial awareness and attention to detail—able to detect sounds, colors, patterns, and machine adjustments. Physically capable of lifting, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and working on your feet throughout the day. Can work independently, stay focused, and follow all safety protocols (including lock-out/tag-out procedures). Must be safety-minded, dependable, and ready to roll up your sleeves to keep our equipment running smoothly!
