Custodian, Janitorial Full-Time (Aina Haina Oahu)

We are currently seeking a part-time
Custodian
for an office building in 'ina Haina. This position requires strong communication skills and a customer service mindset. While prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or related fields is beneficial, we are willing to provide training. Candidates should be prepared to work at a fast pace, which includes walking, standing for extended periods, and pushing carts. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness in common areas of the facility
Communicate effectively and comprehend English
Interact with customers, vendors, and management
Clean and maintain various areas: sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass doors and mirrors, maintaining restrooms, and using a buffer machine in designated areas
Clean office spaces
Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning
Clean restrooms and restock supplies
Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas
Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases
Stand and walk for long durations
Push trash bins as required
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday and Saturday: 3 PM to 9 PM (30 hours per week)
Compensation:
$16-$17/per hour
Skills/Qualifications:
Must pass a background check
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, but we are willing to train
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Strong public relations and communication skills
Applicants must be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), and be capable of reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and navigating stairs throughout their shifts.
