Sr. Data Engineer
The Sr Data Engineer is responsible for building high-quality data pipelines and data repositories that support downstream analytics, reporting, and application needs. The Sr Data Engineer will partner with business, IT, and analytics peers to understand requirements for the use of the data and design optimized solutions to meet these needs. The Sr Data Engineer will leverage best practices to design data products that are timely, reliable, and scalable. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Leads data engineering strategy for complex projects from beginning-to-end Designs and deploys highly reliable, scalable, and timely data products Collaborates to ensure best practices in data architecture are leveraged across multiple environments (e.g., data warehouses, data lake, etc.) Effectively communicates data engineering concepts to a non-technical audience Assembles large, complex data sets that meet business requirements Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements Creates data tools for analytics and Data Scientists that facilitate the building and optimizing of products Works with Data & Analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience building and optimizing big-data pipelines, architectures, data sets in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP 3+ years of experience building Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments 3+ years of experience utilizing Python Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory The preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position.
