As a Prep Cook, you'll be an integral part of the culinary team, supporting the preparation of high-quality food for Chicago Bears games, Chicago Fire matches, concerts, and other premier events. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and portion ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring seasonings, to support kitchen operations. Assist with the preparation of menu items, such as sauces, sides, and salads, according to chef instructions and established recipes. Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production. Monitor inventory levels of prepared items and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors. Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. Show up to work as scheduled. Requirements: Must hold a current ServSafe Food Handling Certification. Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for periods of six to ten hours at a time. Knowledge of health and safety rules in kitchen. Knife skills are preferred.
