The primary responsibility is managing and maintaining content for DHA FE intranet sites, specifically SharePoint Online. The role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to educate Site Owners/Content Managers on effective utilization of SharePoint sites and alternative methods to organize content at the site level, including local site terms. The position involves maintaining guidance materials for Site Owners/Content Managers to ensure efficient term set tagging of content such as pages, documents, and lists. Assist SharePoint development teams and system administrators throughout project lifecycles. Work alongside SharePoint developers to assist with implementation of a new SharePoint sites. Participate in cross-team collaborations to understand business requirements for site features, document those feature requirements, and maintain the list of requirements. Work alongside the developer to understand the site structure and processes in order to test functionality and to provide knowledge for you to manage site content. Maintain content on DHAs FE related intranet site, with responsibilities such as but not limited to: update elements on SharePoint pages to add and reorganize columns, text, and images; update dropdown lists as the data changes; add content to existing document libraries. Perform straightforward site configuration updates to assist the SharePoint Online developer. Manage and administer SharePoint sites, including user permissions, security configurations, site settings, and customization. Ensure proper governance and adherence to organizational policies and standards. Maintain accurate documentation, including user guides, system configurations, and technical specifications. Generate reports on SharePoint usage, adoption, and trends as required. Maintains a system status report which tracks system issues, current action items and requests for system changes in functionality. Provide training and support to users on SharePoint functionalities, content creation, editing, and publishing processes. Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on best practices for content management. Monitor SharePoint performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency and user experience. Develop and enforce content governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance, data integrity, and security within SharePoint sites. Regularly review and audit content to identify and address content quality and compliance issues. Assists the Government lead with development of a trouble ticket system to receive customer/stakeholder inquiries. Manages the trouble ticket system to include processing, tracking, and closing trouble tickets, creating performance metric reports, and updating documentation as requested. Communicates continually with the Government Lead to understand requirements of a project and to make sure that the work done meets such requirements. Utilize SharePoint reporting and analytics features to gather insights, track usage, and generate meaningful reports on site performance, content engagement, and user behavior. Use data-driven insights to drive content management strategies and decision-making. Stay updated with the latest SharePoint features, industry trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhancements. Ability to demonstrate SharePoint Expertise: Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2016/2019/Online, including site administration, content management, and customization using SharePoint Designer or other development tools. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices to develop, implement, and maintain systems and services, assess the effectiveness of current systems and services, evaluate the feasibility of new systems and services, and provide advice and guidance on complex issues. Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of Information Technology (IT) to include basic business applications and relational database concepts. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with Related Technologies: Familiarity with related technologies, such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, PowerApps, and Power BI, which integrate with SharePoint and enhance its capabilities. Ability to map client needs to O365/SharePoint functionality. Ability to utilize SharePoint's reporting and analytics features to gather insights, track usage, and generate meaningful reports on site performance and content engagement. Demonstrate proficiency in SharePoint features such as workflows, web parts, lists, libraries, and permissions. Demonstrate ability to synthesize disparate data from multiple sources and coalesce into an accurate and useful analytic product, incorporating Service and MHS strategic goals for use by leadership in both tactical and strategic decision making. Demonstrate ability to provide accurate and timely analytical products containing well-reasoned and cogent discussion points, providing leadership with substantiated options or courses of action. Ability to demonstrate excellent critical examination, evaluation, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing and completing multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
