Henry Ford Health . Under minimal supervision, this role is responsible for the Henry Ford Health System's insurance accounts receivable. The specialist identifies and verifies patient financial, insurance, and demographic information according to established policies to ensure accurate and compliant claims to third-party payers. Responsibilities include resolving payer denials, following up on claims requiring payer responses, and billing and collecting payments for all Henry Ford Health System hospitals, outpatient clinics, and employed physicians. High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of experience in an office environment or healthcare-related field required. Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS revenue codes preferred. College coursework in accounting, business, or healthcare administration preferred. Effective communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and managers. Ability to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workflow and meet third-party requirements.
