As a
Patient Care Associate
in our Pediatric Intensive Care/Peds Unit, you’ll work under the direction of an RN or LPN to support individualized patient care and help each child reach their highest level of wellness. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team performing essential clinical and non-clinical tasks. ✅ Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC OR enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school OR current Mercy co-worker
Experience: No experience required — we’ll train you!
Training: Mercy provides a 175-hour training program (required if no prior experience) Must be completed within 90 days of hire
Certifications: BLS required within 1 month of hire PCA competencies completed within 3 months
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly Prolonged standing and walking Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat Why Mercy?
