About us!

We work closely with our customers to create unique flavor elements to ice cream bases and yogurt preps. Many of our ingredients end up in easily recognizable brands on the store shelf as we produce for both international corporations as well as smaller, local brands. Job Summary:

Will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries.

Essential Functions: Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Can perform the above tasks with little to no supervision, in addition to...

Route finished goods to appropriate storage locations Inspect load conditions and verify pallets and materials are secured prior to transit. Maintain compliance with food safety standards such as sanitary trailer conditions, all loads are locked or sealed, all items are transported under proper storage specifications. Gather, verify, and return all pertinent load documentation paperwork. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in forklift operation Proven work experience as a Truck Driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations Trucking school diploma Valid Class A CDL or Commercial Driver's license required High School Diploma or GED Effective time management skills Effective communications skills Able to work under pressure Able to work overtime when necessary Working Conditions/Physical Factors:

Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment. Worker may be exposed to hazards in the work place such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.) Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time Occasionally required to use hands and fingers Frequently required to talk or hear Frequently required to taste and smell Frequently required to lift/push/pull/carry weight up to 65 pounds Exposure to moving mechanical parts
