Pets are our passion; our top priority is to keep them healthy. As the Medical Director, you'll keep doing what you love - practicing veterinary medicine. But you'll also provide vital medical leadership, oversee the veterinary team, and cultivate an environment where exceptional pet care thrives. You'll develop medical protocols, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with the practice manager on finances, budgeting, and operational optimization.
Your Qualifications: DVM degree from an accredited university and an active state license Minimum of 5 years experience in a GP animal hospital Commitment to practicing world-class veterinary medicine Skillful ability to delegate, develop, and inspire a winning team Top-notch communication and coaching talents Our services: Wellness exams Diagnostics Dentistry Surgery Radiology Digital dental & whole body radiography Ultrasound Class IV therapeutic laser

About the Area: Frederick is the 2nd largest city in the state of Maryland and one of the fastest growing cities in the DC metro area. The downtown area is packed with charm including civil war museums, Maryland School for the Deaf, row houses, quaint one-of-a-kind shops, local eateries, micro-breweries, and local distilleries that are mostly pet-friendly. Outside of downtown is a large military base, Fort Detrick. Just outside the city proper, but still within Frederick County, you can find rolling hills, wineries, orchards and a strong agricultural presence. You can also hike part the Appalachian Trail.
