Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshooting:
Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in machinery and equipment, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality. Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve overall reliability. Emergency Repairs:
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, assessing the situation, and taking immediate action to minimize production disruptions. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tools. Collaboration:
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand equipment performance requirements, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks. Spare Parts Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, ensuring the availability of necessary items for maintenance and repairs. Training:
Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices in maintenance, and provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed. Adherence to Regulations:
Follow relevant regulations, standards, and company policies in performing maintenance activities, especially those related to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with various hand and power tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial control systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls outside regular working hours. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods.
