We are looking for a calibration technician, with a minimum of 5 years experience in an electrical lab, who is looking to join our small but quickly growing team. At BHDTM, every person's contributions matter. People aren't numbers - they are our foundation.
*Role:*
As a *Electronic Calibration Specialist* you will be working to calibrate and repair electrical test equipment both in our lab and onsite.
*Responsibilities and Duties* * Calibration and troubleshooting of electrical test equipment (multimeters, hipots, meggers, ductors, oscilloscopes, power supplies, transformer test sets, and much more). * Create and verify calibration data sheets for technical content and accuracy based upon instruments specifications and approved calibration procedures. * Perform onsite calibrations at a customer’s location, sometimes out of town. * Complete work in a timely manner to ensure customer delivery expectations are met or exceeded. * Directly responsible for their area housekeeping and cleanliness on a daily basis. * Functional test and inspection of rental returns for proper operation and evidence of misuse or damage and or missing accessories. * Maintain calibration standards. * Perform other laboratory support functions as required.
*Typical instruments we service and calibrate:* * Fluke meters, Megger insulation testers, AEMC ductors, pressure gauges/calibrators, BW gas detectors, torques wrenches/analyzers, Omicron relay testers, Vanguard CT testers, HV Inc hi-pots, spectrum analyzers, weights, scales, micrometers, calipers, indicators, and more.
*Qualifications:* * *Minimum 5 years*' *experience *as a electrical/electronic calibration technician. * Detailed experience with quality management system ISO 17025 is desirable. * A practical knowledge of electronic test equipment is considered a minimum requirement. * Organized, independent, self-motivated, forward thinker with the ability to solve problems. * Must be proficient in using various types of computer software. * Must be organized, able to work under deadline driven stress and manage competing priorities. * The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MetTeam/MetCal experience would be an asset. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Have a valid driver’s license.
