Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant – Forklift supports daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, inventory handling, general housekeeping, and equipment operation. This role involves both manual and forklift-supported tasks, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Review customer orders and pull items from inventory Load and unload trucks; move material using forklifts (as needed) Stock shelves, retrieve and package products for customer orders Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including: Comparing and scanning inventory Checking in deliveries (e.g. UPS, vendors) Completing documentation Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse (sweeping, trash removal, etc.) Follow Client safety procedures and promote a safe work environment Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery safely and as required Process and prepare orders (pulling, packing, labeling, staging) Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders Communicate with shipping companies, purchasing, customer service, and management Direct non-standard issues or inquiries to senior personnel Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or factory setting Ability to perform basic math functions Ability to read and comprehend safety and compliance documents (MSDS, OSHA, DOT, etc.) Basic computer knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service orientation Self-starter with high energy and a team-player mindset
P hysical Requirements: Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 100+ lbs Ability to stand for up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and grasping Capable of working in non-climate-controlled environments (hot/cold conditions)
Preferred Skills: Forklift operation experience Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Previous experience in inventory or order fulfillment roles
