Software Engineer in Denver, CO
Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include: Strong proficiency in
Python
and
Rust
programming languages. Proven experience in
developing real-time embedded software
and integrating
hardware systems
with mission management platforms. Preferred background in
satellite communication protocols
, including CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP, and data processing algorithms. Familiarity with standardized command and telemetry frameworks such as
XTCE
and
MIB
, or equivalent concepts from other industries. Hands-on experience with
encryption algorithm integration
, including AES-256 (GCM, CFB, ECB), and NSA Type 1 standards (PEGASUS, CARIBOU). Preferred experience working with
Kubernetes platforms
and implementing
DevSecOps practices
, fostering collaboration between software development and platform engineering teams. Knowledge of
relational and time-series databases
. Proficient in
version control systems
such as Git and GitHub or similar tools. Preference for candidates with experience contributing to or working with
open-source software
.
Qualifications for the Software Engineer include: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field • 3+ years [professional] experience with satellite command and control systems or similarly complex hardware-software integration efforts • Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI)
Compensation for the Software Engineer include: •
Salary
: $140,000-160,000 Depending on Experience and Education Level •
