Manufacturing Planner

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Manufacturing Planner to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC3) missile-defense program team located in Huntsville, AL. Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus. This position will support the production rate increase and advanced technology upgrade activities. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects improving manufacturing. Shift Work Statement: This position is for A (1st) Shift. (M-Th; 4x10) Position Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planning Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibility Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiency Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performance Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools Experience in manufacturing planning & production support Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support STEM focused Associate's degree Experience in Model-Based Design Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Experience in MESci or similar Manufacturing system Experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) Systems (eg. CompassContract) Experience in CAD software suites Experience in Windchill or similar engineering management databases Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
