Operational Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and detail-oriented Operational Risk Management professional focused on Finance and Investments. This position is responsible for assisting management with the identification, assessment, management, mitigation, and reporting of operational risk across Investments, Finance, and Treasury functions. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Finance and Investment processes and assist management with ensuring effective internal control frameworks are in place, and in alignment with regulatory and accounting frameworks. The candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to support adoption of the company's risk management framework, enterprise risk practices, and standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing the company's risk management capabilities and strengthening the company's risk culture. Key Responsibilities: Support execution and continuous improvement of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the broader Enterprise Risk Management program Lead risk engagements with Finance, Treasury, Investment Accounting, and Actuarial functions Facilitate and execute Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) in collaboration with business units, helping to identify, document, and assess key risks and control Analyze operational risk events and near misses to determine root cause, trends, and preventative actions Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans and oversee/track remediation Prepare regular operational risk reporting for senior management and committees, ensuring effective communication and escalation Promote a strong risk culture through training, communication, and advisory support Manage the Company's corporate insurance program, including but not limited to property, Directors & Officers (D&O), Errors & Omissions (E&O), cyber liability, etc., liaising with insurance brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, compliance, or a related field; experience in insurance or financial services a plus Knowledge of operational risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk assessment methodologies Strong understanding of life insurance accounting frameworks and finance operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage cross-functionally, especially with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Actuarial teams Experience working with brokers and managing complex commercial insurance programs a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Location: West Chester, PA, New York, NY, (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in the office) Resolution Life US is committed to disclosing a reasonable estimate of the base salary for our job roles. These estimates consider a wide range of factors in making base salary decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.
